THE GRADUATION HOUSE
Water and salt for your well-being
The graduation tower at the Parkhotel CUP VITALIS is probably the largest and most elaborate of its kind in a German hotel. The wood comes from old mountain huts that stood for decades at an altitude of over 2000 metres in the German and Austrian Alps and were abandoned. Here you can experience salt in a completely different way. The brine trickles down a wall of brushwood from the blackthorn. As a result, the air is enriched with brine droplets and salt aerosols and, as in the sea air, breathing is beneficial for pollen allergy sufferers and asthmatics. You rest gently on a lounger.
Incidentally, Bad Kissingen was the first place in Germany where highly saline water (brine) was allowed to trickle down a wall of brushwood in a huge wooden structure built outdoors as early as the 16th century.
