Arrival and departure
When can I check in?
The rooms are ready from 3:00 p.m.
By what time do I have to leave the room on the day of departure?
The rooms are available until 10:00 a.m. If occupancy allows, a later check-out is also possible for an additional charge. Please speak to the staff at our reception.
Is there parking at the hotel?
Yes, there are 80 free parking spaces available in the hotel car park, subject to availability (no reservation possible in advance).
Is there an underground car park?
No, all parking spaces are outdoors and free of charge at your own risk.
How can I pay my hotel bill?
We accept the following payment methods: cash, Giro card, Master Card, Visa, American Express
Can I store my bikes at the hotel?
Yes, there is a lockable room available.
Charging facilities for e-bikes are also available.
How long is the hotel reception open?
Our reception is open 24 hours a day.
General information about the hotel
How long has the hotel been in existence?/strong>
The hotel was reopened in 2013.
How was the hotel facade created?
A special concrete casting process was used, whereby the edges were broken in the mold.
Can I get an individual tour of the house?
No. Group tours of the house are offered through guest services. Due to time constraints, individual tours of the house cannot take place.
How big is the hotel property including the park?
The hotel property is 35,000 square meters.
How many employees are employed in the hotel in total?
On average, 120 employees look after the well-being of our guests.
How far is it to the city center?
Approx. 700 meters
Is there a connection to the city?
Yes, our hotel shuttle bus runs according to a designated timetable. You can find the exact times in the timetable posted on the information board. View timetable
Where can I get a city map?
Free of charge at reception upon request. You can also view and download the city maphere.
Is the drinking fountain free?
Yes, you can buy a water bottle for €1 or our Parkhotel CUP VITALIS sports bottle for €3.50 at reception and refill it as often as you like.
What kind of drinking water is there at the drinking fountain?
The composition of the water, according to the water analysis, can be found on the notice next to the drinking fountain.
Is there WiFi in the hotel?
Yes, guests have free HIGHSPEED WiFi on all floors, in the rooms and public areas.
How much is the tourist tax in Bad Kissingen?
Adults: €3.90, business travelers: €1.95, severely disabled people: €3.40 (rates of the Bavarian State Spa Bad Kissingen, as of 01/24), every adult is subject to tourist tax.
Are there umbrellas at reception?
Yes, you can either borrow an umbrella by mentioning your room number or purchase our “CUP VITALIS umbrella” for € 10.
Where is the exit to the garden?
The garden exit is on level 1 in Haus Vitalis. In Haus Refugium the garden exit is on level 2. View hotel map

How can I make internal calls from room to room?
Internally, you simply need to dial the desired room number without the area code.
How much does a telephone unit cost?

How many rooms/beds does the hotel have?
The hotel has 272 rooms with 484 beds.
Does every room have a balcony?
Yes, every room has a balcony
Are there smoking rooms?
No, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel. However, you are welcome to use the smoking area in front of the main entrance or smoke on the bar or restaurant terrace.
Is there a minibar/fridge in the room?
You will only find a minibar in the suites. A fridge for medication, for example, is available at reception. Cold drinks are available around the clock from the vending machines, which are located on 3 floors.
Is there air conditioning in the hotel/rooms?
Our deluxe, junior suite and penthouse suite rooms can be air-conditioned.
My mattress is too hard and my pillow is too small!
It is possible to make the mattress softer with a topper. We have a variety of pillows in stock at reception. You can view and download our pillow menu here.You can also get additional blankets, wool blankets and seat cushions for the balcony chairs from reception.
You can also get the following on request at reception:
Shower mat, shower stool, flip-flops, sewing kit, toothbrush kit, shaving kit, shoe cleaning cloths, shoe horn, nail file, cotton buds and pads, reading glasses, iron / ironing board
Why does it take a little longer for the radiators to heat up?
The motor-driven control head is controlled by a remote sensor. The system's response time is 5 minutes until the valve opens completely.
Will I get my clothes washed?
It is possible to have clothes washed in the hotel for a fee.
Alternatively, you can get a washing machine or dryer coin from reception (free for stays of 6 nights or more) and wash and dry your clothes yourself in the laundry rooms.
We are also happy to take your clothes to the dry cleaners (additional costs).
Do I have to buy extra detergent for this?
No, detergent and fabric softener are available free of charge.
Where can I find out about the additional offers in the weekly program?
These are displayed on the information board next to the hotel reception on level 3.
SPA & Sport
Where can I find the individual SPA areas?
The 3,800 sqm SPA & sports area extends over 3 levels. All levels can be easily reached by elevator or stairs. You can get an overview map from the hotel reception or you can view and download it here.
What are the opening times?
Gym SPA level 1
Every day from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
SPA reception SPA level 2
Every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Swimming pool SPA level 2
Every day from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Closed during water aerobics (see notice in the hotel) and during cleaning between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
VITAL spring SPA level 2
Every day from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Closed during cleaning between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.
Saltwater pool SPA level 2
Daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; closed during cleaning between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. 10 € per person
Sauna area SPA level 3
Daily from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Will I get a bathrobe and sauna towels at the hotel?
You will find bathrobes and sauna towels in a bag in your room upon arrival. A deposit will be charged to your bill for these. We will cancel this deposit if you return the bag with bathrobes and sauna towels to reception upon departure. Bathrobes are available in sizes M, L, XL and XXL. If size XXL is not enough, we recommend that you bring your own bathrobe. We will also clean this for you free of charge.
What is the water temperature in the swimming pool??
The sports pool has a water temperature of around 28 °C, the VITAL spring around 33 °C and the brine bath around 34 °C.
What clothes should I wear to the dry salt oasis, salt mill and graduation tower?
TComfortable clothing is recommended. Blankets and pillows are available. Please dress a little warmer in the graduation tower as the temperature is only around 18 - 19 °C.
What should I wear to the treatment?
For heat treatments such as fango or infrared, wear a bathrobe. Otherwise, wear comfortable clothing. You can find more information in our SPA guide, which you can get from the SPA reception or view and download here.
Do I have to register at the SPA reception before every treatment?
No. You take a seat in the SPA lounge around 10 minutes before the start of your treatment. Our staff are informed about all appointments and will pick you up there.
When do the aquafit and back fitness courses take place?
Aquafit usually starts at 8:00 a.m. in the swimming pool, back fitness at 10:00 a.m. in the gym. Both courses take place on a different day. Please remember to bring suitable sportswear and trainers!
Where and how can I book additional treatments?
In person at the SPA reception on SPA level 2 or by phone.
Due to the high demand, we ask you to book the additional offers/appointments by phone at the SPA reception before arrival. You can reach them during daily opening hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 0971 / 700-890.
Where do I pay for additional treatments?
BWhen you leave, at the hotel reception together with your hotel bill.
Why is there no exit from the swimming pool to the sun terrace?
For security reasons, so that no one from outside can enter the building.
Gastronomy/Bar
What are the opening hours of the restaurants and bar/lounge in the hotel?
Buffet restaurants:
Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Sundays and public holidays 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Lunch snack::
daily 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Dinner::
daily 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
À la carte restaurant:
daily 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (orders possible until 8:30 p.m.)
Bar:
Lobby bar: daily 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Lounge bar: daily 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Will I be assigned a fixed seat in the restaurant?
Yes, every guest is assigned a table upon arrival, which remains the same for every meal for the entire duration of their stay. Changes and requests are possible as long as the available capacity allows.
Can I have my additional drinks in the restaurant charged to my room?
Yes, the service staff will be happy to give you an invoice for additional drinks ordered for signature. A drinks menu is available in the restaurant.
House wine, water, coffee and tea are already included in your travel price for dinner as part of the booked half board plus.
Can I take food and drinks from the restaurant to my room?
No, for hygiene reasons, no food may be kept in the rooms.
In acute exceptional cases, e.g. in the event of illness, please speak to our service staff beforehand, who will be happy to help you.
I have a food allergy. Does the kitchen cater for allergens and intolerances?
Yes, the kitchen caters for all allergens, intolerances and illnesses individually if required. Please speak to us about this in advance! After consultation with the kitchen team, a meal tailored specifically to your needs will be prepared for you.
Does the kitchen use regional products?
Yes, wherever possible we source our eggs, meat and sausage products and vegetables from local suppliers. We also get our bread from a local baker. You can find more information here.
Does the kitchen use fresh products?
Of course! The breakfast buffet, the lunch snack, the evening buffet and the dishes in the à la carte restaurant - everything is freshly cooked every day!
Are seasonal products also used?
JYes, we offer a changing seasonal menu almost all year round (e.g. asparagus, chanterelles, pumpkin, game menu, etc.).
